Happenings...

1) Georgia had her first communion. I got in line, and the next thing you know, she's munching on bread, just like that. I think Georgia and Joe have been in cahoots this year, because up until 3 weeks ago, neither had been able to ever go to church with me (much as they both would love to, I'm sure). Georgia had been managing to extend her first nap through part of the 1st service, and part of the 2nd service, thus prohibiting attendance at either, because someone's gotta stay home and watch her. (Yes, we generally bow to the naps above all else and are pretty happy for it.) (I know what you're thinking, though - since when are sleeping and church attendance mutually exclusively?) Not that I've got a perfect attendance record myself by any stretch, but I've been trying to get to know the place better and do some soul searching, since we are having her baptised there soon.

2) Georgia had an allergic reaction to hummus last night. Itchy eyes, red face, coughing, hives on her skin - the whole bit. It was so immediate and obvious that fortunately we were able to stave off any more serious consequences by just not feeding her any more of it. She only ate 2 tiny bites, and she's fine now. Of course, then I found out on the Internet (the source of all reputable medical information, right?) that there's a super high correlation between sesame allergy and atopic dermatitis (eczema), so you know, it seems like that's something the pediatrician might've mentioned to us before....argh.

3) Check out this stamp on the messenger package that I received today. Part of it didn't come through, so it just says, "INCOMING MESS". This should be stamped on every article entering my home or office as far as I can tell.

Glad G is OK on the hummus front. No open sesame when sesame is on the menu, eh?
