Honk! Honk!

Wait - is that the sound of my own horn I hear?

Why, yes, it is!

Sara and I ran a 10k together this month. My first race of any type since Georgia's birth. Yea us!

At one point I had hopes of doing a triathlon sometime this summer, but that idea got shelved due to time constraints. And the love of sleep.

In theory I am currently training to do a half marathon, which would be the farthest distance I've ever run. I say "in theory", because I am currently falling apart and on prescription pain killer for various joint problems, have been instructed to swim rather than run for now, and am suffering stomach pains as a side effect of the medication. I think I'll be switching back to Advil tomorrow, but don't hold your breath on that half marathon. (Was that enough excuses for you?)

How can Sara's hair look so perfect after finishing this race? Mine wouldn't look that good coming out of a salon.

P.S. Joe tells me "falling apart" sounds too dire. Rest assured, I am fine.

Um, hello? 10K? Why did you not mention this fantastic accomplishment earlier?
I'm impressed!

Wow! Congrats! And I'm sorry you're falling apart! I had no idea. As your doctor I say switch to a different pain killer before moving back to Advil.
