Happy Birthday to You!

Friday morning in Georgia's music class, we sang "Happy Birthday" twice on account of two toddler birthdays.

Then this weekend we attended two birthday parties for young lads turning two.

Bedtime came, and suddenly Georgia was making a song request - "Happy Birthday," of course. [We always sing the same 2 or 3 songs to Georgia before putting her down for the night.*]

We obliged, and her ears (as usual) were quite forgiving of our lack of talent, because she responded with "more, more" in both words and baby sign language.

Okay, sure - second verse, same as the first...anything you want, love.

*"Goodnight, Sweetheart, Goodnight," "You Are My Sunshine," "Margaritaville," and on rarer occasion - our own version of "Rock-A-Bye, Baby," which ends with the lyrics "on to a trampoline, and everything's fine."

That's funny. Hopefully her taste in music will improve.

Cute! I love little stories like this especially since I live in a different city and miss out on seeing Georgia.
