A Heebeebajillion Photos

They say subsequent children always get shorted and are never photographed as much as the first. I can see why this is true. However, in June's case, there are a couple of things working against that trend. First, I'm making a conscious effort not to short change her. Second, I've gotten a lot more into photography as a hobby since Georgia was born.

The result is that we have a heebeebajillion photos from the last couple of months. Seriously, I can't keep up with getting them off of the cameras and on to the computer, and then on to Flickr for sharing. (But that is just the dumbest thing to say isn't it, because of course I could solve my own problem by just NOT TAKING SO MANY PHOTOS.)

Digital is great because it's quick and easy, but digital is the devil because I seem to snap 5 photos every time when only 1 would've sufficed. And I have trouble deleting them, even when they stink. As if we're really going to want to go back and look at the bad photos later? I'm working on it...

In the meantime, I've finally gotten hundreds of photos on to Flickr for anyone (Tom T.?) who wants to see them. They're in 2 sets called "June in Hospital" and "June's 1st Month & a Half". The security has been set to "private" (for friends and family only), so I think that viewing them involves opening a Flickr account if you don't already have one, and then asking me to be your contact. [MOM AND MARSHA - call if you want me to walk you through it.] I won't bore you with the reasons that I use Flickr, or the reasons that I've set the pics to private, but suffice it to say that I'll be "friends" on Flickr with just about anyone so don't be shy, but no, I'm not going to be uploading to Snapfish, Shutterfly, and Kodak Gallery on top of this, so please do not complain if you don't like the fact that viewing the pictures means joining Flickr. Gracias.

[Recent road trips and Halloween not included.]
[Oh, and sorry that some of the pictures are particularly repetitive, but I was trying to get a great one for June's birth announcement.]

UPDATE: Oops. Forgot to add that my Flickr handle is baumgak. : )

FURTHER UPDATE: Turns out that after you add me as a contact, then I have to go in and designate you as a friend. So if you added me as a contact but didn't immediately have access to all of the pictures marked as private, that's why. You'll get access as soon as I am back on the computer again.

What's your flickr handle? I tried to add you as a contact but the link just took me to an "Opps, you don't have permission" page.

Kate. Could you please post the pics on Facebook? I don't want to have to go to Flickr to see them. Also, if you could not set them to private on FB, I want my friends of friends of friends to be able to see them. Thanks. I appreciate it.

Kidding! I'm off to set up a flickr account now...
