No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

Here's a fun idea for you to try.  Well, maybe.

Joe decided to take Clifford on a wild adventure to work with him one day, with plans to delight the girls with sporadic text message photos of the big red dog's antics.

So, how did it go?
June's initial excitement and surprise...

..soon led to her realization that Clifford being at the office... IMG_1009
...meant that he was NOT AT HOME!!!

Cue hysteria. Inconsolable crying. Mayhem subdued only by drawing her feelings (with a little help from mom).

(I swear, if this "draw your feelings" stuff ends up one day being proven to be a bunch of hooey, I will have to laugh at myself accordingly, but sometimes shoving a pen and paper in their hands is the only thing that seems to bring them back to Earth.)

I guess all's well that ends well.

I Just Had to Post This

You may recall that in our tireless/fruitless efforts to encourage Georgia to communicate her frequent displeasure in some form other than crying, we got her to start drawing her feelings.  Well, at least this one provided us some much needed comic relief!  See if you can figure out what's going on here:

Angry

If you guessed, "Georgia was angry because Joe was using the bathroom with the door closed and wouldn't let her in when she wanted to talk to him," you're right.  (The two rectangles on the left are supposed to be the door, and a smiling Joe sitting on the toilet!)
