Apparently, I have been living under a rock.
As of yesterday afternoon, I was completely unaware of what headlines have since been telling me is "a case that captivated America for years." (But I was here. In America. For all those years!) And I do mean completely unaware. I would've had zero word association with the name "Casey Anthony" had you asked me about it as of noon yesterday. (I would now answer this with, "not guilty," "people seem to be outraged," and, "someone's baby was apparently killed or otherwise died." I do not mean to appear insensitive, but that is as much as I have gathered.)
Am I truly the only one? Is this bad?
I blame my children. I'm a bad citizen of the world, and totally out of touch with a lot of pop culture. All I can hope is that maternity leave gives me a chance to catch up on the rest of the Twilight books and movies. (When exactly that's supposed to be squeezed in the nursing / driving / minding / cooking / yelling / playing schedule, though, I'm not exactly sure.) We won't even get into the fact that I've never read or seen a Harry Potter. Also, I blame Joe. Futurama is at least part of the reason that I've never seen any Real Housewives. Also, I blame my job. You made me miss a lot of Glee.
Getting loopy from working too much lately. So leave me a comment and tell me something funny or interesting. Or berate me for not knowing Casey Anthony. Or de-lurk yourself or whatever. I need some motivation to make it over the finish line here, and the vending machine has so lost its luster. Ugh.
