First stop: October 2009.
(I've had trouble keeping everything up to date here, so we're just going to go with out of chronological order now, okay?)
In October we took a road trip to my hometown in Missouri to visit family, including Gigi, my 95 year old grandmother, who got a chance to meet June for the first time. Gigi's health, and her eyesight in particular, have really been declining since last Spring. Her face still lit up at the sound of our voices, though, and it was a special moment for me to be able to lay her hands on June so that she could feel what she couldn't really see.
The juxtaposition of 95 year old skin and 8 week old skin makes these ordinary snapshots something more to me.
{Junie was such a good sport about the whole thing.}
{4 generations.}
An aside: If we ever have another child, I think we should name it "Advertencia." Seems like this word appears in 90% of June's baby photos.

Amazing pictures, Kate. So precious to see Gigi with her great-granddaughters!
Great picture. Oh, and your hair is looking great!
Man, Gigi still looks beautiful! It is so awesome that the girls get to meet your grandmother. That is so special.
Something about that solo June photo that looks exactly like Joe! what is it?
Rita - thanks!
Crystal - I didn't notice that until you pointed it out but you're right. I think it may be the silly facial expression!
