I racked my brain to think of what said "texture" to me that would also work for this challenge. It was warm enough to shoot outside this weekend, but unfortunately all outdoor things saying "texture" to me on my jog were also screaming "dank and dingy," so I opted to forego the urban landscape of a January thaw in favor of...shaving cream.
I have fond memories of pretend shaving with my Grandpa and Dad as a young girl, so I thought it was time for Georgia to get in on the fun. This image captures a more tender moment, but the overall mood was silly. (Especially since I had June strapped to me in the Baby Bjorn, we were all stuffed in a tiny bathroom, and I was trying not to catch the reflection of myself (and June) in the mirror in the pictures!)
I hope you don't think it's weird to play shaving just because she's a girl; I don't.

What a precious picture!!!
Kate, this picture is absolutely beautiful!
so beautiful.
I LOVE it! My kids love to do this too! My daughter found a letter T magnet when she was really small and called it her shaver :)
I think that's great to include her in the fun with daddy! lovely moment captured!
great shot.
dont think its weird at all, I love that the girl is playing with shaving cream like her dad, so cute! And good idea thinking outside the box on the texture.
What a sweet moment!
What a wonderful moment to capture, and a beautiful photo too!
I think it's a fun and creative idea! Such a special moment. After a bunch of fabricated textures, it's nice to see some natural texture, too! :)
