{You've been a bright ray of sunshine in a cold granite world, squash. We'll miss you!}
We bought this spaghetti squash in October of 2008. Ostensibly to cook and eat it. It has been sitting on our kitchen counter ever since. Yes, you read that right - October '08. Somehow we never got around to cooking it that first week, or the second...yada yada yada, a year and a half passed. Running joke, science experiment, or laziness, it's a little bit of all three.
We're about ready to cut into that squash for look-sees and pitch it, so I just wanted to give it a proper goodbye here first.
I have been visiting that squash for-ev-er! I may have to get you a replacement squash statue or something. Your fruit bowl will look bizarre sans squash..... And I'm sure for people who HAVEN'T noticed the perpetual squash in your condo, this must be an odd blog post....

I can't believe it was the SAME squash every time. That's one heck of a squash.
That is hilarious! And sounds like something I would do. You need to report back after you cut into it and let us know how scary it is in there.
